The club handbook is available here… There are several local weather stations on
Weatherunderground. The local sea conditions are now monitored by a Waverider
buoy, the position and data are available on http://www.channelcoast.org/data_management/real_time_data/charts/?chart=99 It has an orange flashing light.

A
buoy (Juicy) at the mouth of the river marks the entrance at low water. This is
a red and white safe water buoy with a white flashing light. This marks the
beginning of the approach to the river though navigation more than 3 hours off
high water is not advised.
Tide
times are available at 2011
tide table
Buoys 2 through 14 are red cans. Numbers 2 and 4 (Dog Leg) have red flashing
lights.
Buoys 11,13 and 15 are green cones. The
position of some buoys was adjusted in December 2010 to indicate the fairway
more accurately. There are also some withies marking the river channel visible
when the tide is low.
Moorings
start at X.
The
club uses Yellow pillar buoys as race markers around the bay except for mark C which
is a red cylinder.

Warning:
When the Grand Pier was rebuilt the foundations were extended seaward but never
built on
and
this is covered by the tide. A green buoy marks this.
