At last - the Wreck has been removed !
Uphill Pill is now clear.

At a cost to the taxpayer of about £15000 - a six man team from Weston Recovery Services removed it with the help of a JCB and a couple of 1940's Scammel Trucks

If anyone has any pics I could use some - but there are a few here on this link to the Weston Mercury report.

It will not be missed !

...for the record, below is what we have put up with for the last couple of years.

The boat shown is an ex navy Pinnace called Solitair which sank last Summer and is now, apparently, not likely to be moved

Update - Sept 07
Little has been done to improve access - except various opportunists stripping copper and a small fire in the coachroof.

There is a green buoy marking the stern corner - and there is little obstructing debris on the stern now, which is the main obstruction to the channel.

Generally a pretty sorry sight.
As above -
the vessel has now at long last been removed
