 § The logs will be considered by the Sailing Committee of the Club and their decision will be based on them.

§ Entrants who use any form of propulsion, other than sails, must declare it in their log with a note of the reason and the time that the alternative form of propulsion was in use. Engines or oars may only be used to avoid grounding or collision.

SCARWEATHER

Entries will be accepted at the discretion of the Committee. The race is to be for TWO Classes for Monohulls, and a Multihull Class.

SINGLE-HANDED RACE

Competing boats shall have only one person on board. The race is to be for TWO Classes.

SPONSORED EVENTS

Where races are sponsored by individuals who donate prizes, in cash or kind, special conditions may be applied. (e.g. The race may be one class or two, or with a minimum number of entries required for the event to be valid). In such cases any special conditions will be displayed on the club notice board at least one week before the event.

GENERAL NOTES

1. All of the above Races are held in accordance with the Rules of Weston Bay Yacht Club. The Sailing Committee's decision will be binding.

2. VISITORS are welcome to take part in Club events. However, to be eligible for any of the trophies associated with the above events, the following conditions apply :-

a) The participating boat must be owned in whole or in part, by a Full Member of WBYC

b) There must be at least one Full Member of WBYC in the crew, who will be nominated as the helmsman or helmswoman for the event.

3. TIME LIMIT ON CLAIMS FOR TROPHYS

The SANSOM, PILL POUNDER, LOG OF THE YEAR and BILL MEAKIN Trophies all require claims, with supporting evidence, to be submitted within specified time limits. These conditions must be observed.
